Keukenhof in 2027
Keukenhof is the world’s most beautiful spring flower garden in the Netherlands, open only for two months a year. More than 7 million flower bulbs are planted in Keukenhof every year. Open gardens and pavilions demonstrate a collection of tulips, irises, lilies, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids and other flowers.

Tulip Festival in Amsterdam in 2027
In 2027, Amsterdam is set to host its own Tulip Festival again, with tulip displays planted across the city throughout April. In previous editions the festival has planted around 880,000 tulips at 60+ locations, blooming in public spaces along streets and squares, in shopping areas, parks, and in the gardens of several museums and hotels.
- Tulip Festival in Amsterdam: the official 2027 dates hadn’t been announced yet at the time of writing. The festival traditionally runs through the whole month of April, check the official website closer to the date to confirm.

Dutch Flower Parade 2027
Bloemencorso Bollenstreek flower parade is one of the most famous flower parades in the Netherlands and one of the largest in the world. It’s also sometimes called the flower carnaval or flower show. The next Flower Parade near Keukenhof takes place over the weekend of 16 – 18 April 2027: an illuminated evening parade in Noordwijkerhout on Friday 16 April, the grand parade on Saturday 17 April, and the flower floats on display in Haarlem on Sunday 18 April.
While you’re in the area
The flower parade will start in Noordwijk. Then the cars decorated with flowers will process along the road, also near the Keukenhof main entrance, and arrive to Haarlem.

- Bloemencorso parade route: Noordwijk – Voorhout – Sassenheim – Lisse – Hillegom – Bennebroek – Haarlem.
- Tickets: You can enjoy the show free of charge. You only need to pay if you want to book a seat at tribunes in Sassenheim, Lisse or Hillegom.

Tulip fields near Amsterdam in 2027
The best place to see the Dutch tulip fields not far from Amsterdam is the Bollenstreek area (the Flower Bulb Region), which includes beautiful places like Lisse, Noordwijkerhout, Noordwijk, Hillegom. It is good to combine your trip to the tulip fields with a visit to Keukenhof (in 2027 open from 18 March till 9 May).
Best time to visit tulip fields near Amsterdam: The blooming period of the Dutch flower fields depends on the weather. Usual season for the flowers blooming is:
- daffodils fields – from mid-March till mid-April
- hyacinths fields – from the beginning of April till end of April
- tulips fields – from mid-April till early May
If you are planning to visit the Netherlands during the flower blooming season, we recommend to book accomodation in advance.
Tickets to the tulip fields: You don’t need a ticket to view the fields from the distance or bike through the area. However, it’s not allowed to enter the flower fields. And if you want to take nice photos in the fields, you can visit special farms:
- The Tulip Barn (at 130 3e Loosterweg, 2182 CX, Hillegom, a short train ride to Hillegom station followed by a 15-20 minute walk along the flower fields), open from 25 March till 9 May 2027, daily from 9:30 till 19:00.
- Tulip Experience Amsterdam (at Delfweg 37, 2211VK, Noordwijkerhout, 10 minutes by bike from Keukenhof), open from 18 March till 9 May 2027.
