Which bikes are free with I amsterdam city card?
Here is a list of participating bike rentals in Amsterdam (and one in Volendam):
Do I need to make a reservation at the bike rental with the I amsterdam card?
It depends on the bike rental. At MacBike rentals you can generally rent a bike with your I amsterdam city card without prior reservation. But if you want to be sure that the bike is waiting for you at the selected location, we recommend doing a reservation.
For example, due to the popularity of the MacBike location at the Central Station, it might be the case that all bicycles are rented out. Then the staff of the MacBike Central Station will refer you to the MacBike Oosterdok location which is a 10-minute walk away.
At A-Bike rentals you have to book a timeslot for your bike rental online.
Good to know:
At some bike rentals in Amsterdam you will have to show your ID and/or leave a deposit (€50 per bike), or leave a copy of your credit card.
Enjoy exploring Amsterdam and the area by bike!
