Since 2022 Keukenhof with the timeslots system: there is a limited amount of tickets available per day and time. Now every season almost all weekends in April and May are usually sold out. Do Keukenhof tickets sell out? Yes, they often do! If you’ve been trying to book Keukenhof entrance tickets for the weekend in April and May, you have probably noticed that for many dates they are competely sold out. We recommend booking Keukenhof tickets in advance to avoid unnecessary stress and disappointment.
Busiest days during the Keukenhof season
Keukenhof tickets are most likely to sell out on:
- Flower Parade weekend (12 – 13 April 2025)
- Easter break (18 – 21 April 2025)
- Dutch school vacations (18 April – 4 May 2025)
- King’s Day (26 April 2025)
If you plan to visit the gardens on these days, we recommend to book tickets as soon as you start planning your trip.
Keukenhof tickets are sold out: what to do?
Please note: if the entrance tickets to Keukenhof are sold out online, you also won’t be able to buy them at the door. But you can still try a few things that can help you to buy tickets for the date of your choice.

Keukenhof entrance + shuttle bus tickets
A shuttle bus from Amsterdam will take you directly to the Keukenhof entrance. The bus departs from the This is Holland experience (). From Amsterdam Central station you need to take a free ferry across the IJ river and then walk for approximately two minutes.
The prices range from €35 to €47,50 depending on the season and departure time.
Tulip festival card
The Tulip Festival Card is a conveniet ticket for visiting Keukenhof and the tulip fields from Amsterdam. It includes a ticket to Keukenhof shuttle bus from Amsterdam, Keukenhof entrance, canal cruise in Amsterdam and 10% discount on other museum tickets and tours in the Netherlands.
If all these tickets are also sold out for the date and time of your choice, keep checking availability regularly. Sometimes there are last-minute cancellations and and you can be the lucky to find a ticket.
You can also visit the tulip fields near Keukenhof – it’s free and you don’t need a ticket!
There are also special farms with tulip fields and creative photo zones:
- The Tulip Barn (at 130 3e Loosterweg, 2182 CX, Hillegom, a short train ride to Hillegom station followed by a 15-20 minute walk along the flower fields), open from 28 March till 5 May 2025, daily from 9:30 till 19:00.
- Tulip Experience Amsterdam (at Delfweg 37, 2211VK, Noordwijkerhout, 10 minutes by bike from Keukenhof), open from 20 March till 11 May 2025, daily from 9:00 till 18:00.
