Bus 391 departure point
The bus line 391 which departs from Amsterdam/CS IJzijde station. The bus station is located behind Amsterdam Centraal train station, one level up behind platforms 14 and 15.

Please note that GVB (Amsterdam city transport) tickets are not valid on bus 391. This bus is operated by EBS R-NET company.

Tours to Zaanse Schans
One of the most common questions we hear from travellers: is it better to take a tour to Zaanse Schans or travel on our own? Our advice: if you have enough time in the Netherlands, travel on by bus and train and explore the country at your own pace. If your time is limited, consider joining a guided tour.

- Volendam, Marken & Zaanse Schans day trip organized by a local tour guide Tours & Tickets. This 6-hour tour also includes a ferry boat ride across the IJsselmeer from Volendam to Marken. The tours are popular, especially in the high season. We recommend booking the tour online at least 2-3 days in advance.
Tip! You can also travel to the Zaanse Schans by train. Take a Sprinter to Zaandijk Zaanse Schans station. A train journey from Amsterdam takes 17 minutes (tickets online). Zaanse Schans is just a 10-minute walk from the station.
